SENDING MANY THANKS

I saw a card on my friend Crystals blog using the Easy Events stamp set that we received for FREE at convention. I realized I haven't even inked it up yet. So I remedied that today. I made this card using the colors from today's COLOR CHALLENGE over at SC. The colors were: More Mustard, Calypso Coral and Cherry Cobbler.

I also used the fabulous Lace Ribbon Border Punch and weaved some Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding through it for some added texture.

I also created my own DSP using the flourish from the Best Friends Forever set, stamping it tone on tone on the More Mustard card base.

Card Supplies:

Stamps: Easy Events, Petite Pairs, Best Friends Forever
Paper: Very Vanilla, More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler, Calypso Coral
Ink: Black Staz-on, More Mustard
Markers: Cherry Cobbler, Calypso Coral, More Mustard
Punches: Lace Ribbon Border, Large Oval, Scalloped Oval, Modern Label, 2.5"Circle, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle, 1 3/4" Circle
Accessories: Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Two way Glue pen

HAPPY 25TH ANNIVERSARY

Yesterday we spent the afternoon with family celebrating my Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law's 25th Anniversary. This is the card I made them that was included in their gift basket.

This card is a whole piece of 8.5 x 11 " card stock folded in half. I used the SU's Glossy Cardstock for the main image panel.

Here is a close up of the glossy card stock main image panel. (Click on the photo's to enlarge)

Here is a close up of the bow (I lOVE this ribbon) with the little Mr & Mrs attached with a safety pin.

WEDDING CARD

A friend at work needed a wedding card....so this is what I came up with.

The card is almost a whole 8.5 x 11 piece of card stock folded in half... so it is a bit bigger than I usually make. It is also a Gate fold styled card.

I got this idea from LYNN PRATT'S BLOG She has a free template of the dress and shirt top you can download and print off. Easy Peasy...thanks Lynn!

I used the now retired Presto Patterns Specialty Designer Paper and sponged it with Blushing Bride ink. I layered this onto the black gate fold card base.

The dress was cut out with Whisper White card stock and the dress overlay is Vellum card stock. Both pieces were embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

The sentiment is from the new Petite Pairs stamp set in the new Catalog. I made some paper flowers from the Blushing Bride card stock as an embelishment.

Here is the inside of the card.

Card Supplies:

Stamps: Petite Pairs
Paper: Basic Black, Presto Patterns DSP, Whisper White, Vellum
Ink: Blushing Bride, Black Staz-on
Accessories: Big Shot, Vintage Wallpaper & Framed Tulips Embossing Folders, Decorative Label Punch, Pearls, Baja Breeze Seam Binding, Dimensionals, Sponges, Rhinestones

WITH SYMPATHY ~~ EMBOSS RESIST

My husband needed a sympathy card for a co-worker who lost his 19 year old son in an accident. How very sad!

I tried to make a card with more muted, masculine colors.

I used this weeks SKETCH CHALLENGE and WAYS TO USE IT CHALLENGE (to use Versamark ink) from Splitcoaststampers.

I used versamark to clear emboss my floral image and sponging to create the Emboss Resist Technique.

Card Supplies:

Stamps: SU Just Believe, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede
Ink: Versamark, Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat Gun, Sponges, Word Window, Modern and Decorative Label Punches, Chocolate Chip Scalloped Ribbon, Dimensionals

I made this card for today's COLOR CHALLENGE at Splitcoaststampers. The colors were Red, Kraft, Yellow and Green.

I used Stampin Up's Glossy paper and sponged on Cherry Cobbler, Pear Pizzazz & Daffodil Delight. I then stamped the leaves and images from the French Foliage set in Crumb Cake and then again in Brown Staz-on ink.

I also used a Bevelled Window Pane for my sentiment. The sentiment is from the new stamp set Petite Pairs.

Here is a close up of the sentiment and the Bevelled Window Pane.

FINALLY...I STAMPED....

Summer sure is crazy. I have not stamped since I have been back from the Stampin Up Convention....where does the time go!??

Today I decided to make a couple quick and easy cards that I am in need of. So I used the Sketch today from the CLEAN & SIMPLE CHALLENGE over at Splitcoaststampers.

I used some of the free stamps sets I received at convention today!

The first card uses the Leaves from the Best Friends Forever Set and the flowers from the Raining Flowers Set. The sentiment is from Upsy Daisy.

Here is a close up of the flowers.

Card Supplies:

Stamps: Raining Flowers, Best Friends Forever, Upsy Daisy
Paper: Crumb Cake
Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Expresso, White Craft

This second card uses the Workshop Words Stamp set we received for free at convention. I stamped the little house then colored in the body with the Early Expresso marker to get rid of the words. I need a housewarming card for a friend who just moved.

The house is popped up on dimensionals and attatched to the inside of the card....I used the 13/8" square punch to make a little window for my house to peek through.

Card Supplies:

Stamps: Workshop Words, Swirls & Curls Verses
Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Soft Suede, Early Expresso, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Big Shot, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, 1 3/8" Square Punch, Dimensionals

Also for the month of August, Stampin Up is running a promotion. If you buy 3 packs of Designer Series Paper, you get one the fourth for FREE! Check it out HERE!

Until next time...have a great day!
