FLOURISHED FAUX TILE

I made this card for todays CLEAN AND SIMPLE Challenge ~ to use a Flourish on our card, and todays TRY A NEW TECHNIQUE ~ to make a Faux Tile Card.

I used the Flourish from Stampin Up's Baroque Motif stamp set. I stamped it with Crumb Cake ink onto a top note die cute. I then embossed the whole top note die with clear embossing powder. The center flower is also from this stamp set. It too was embossed, cut out and popped up on dimensionals after I added the Vintage Brad.

I love Kraft and White together.....this card came together very quickly.

Card Supplies:

Stamps: SU Baroque Motifs
Ink: Crumb Cake, Versamark
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Top Note Die, Big Shot, Vintage Brad, Dimensionals, Sponges

FEATURED STAMPER

I made this card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge over at Splitcoaststampers. I chose THIS CARD of Emily's to CASE.

I used the Top Note Die and added the Champagne Glass Glitter to it. I used the Stampin Wheel to roll on the Music Notes in Crumb Cake ink. I used the flourish from Friends 24-7 and stamped it in Early Expresso. All the edges were distressed and sponged. The paper piercer was used to create a faux stitched look.

I haven't posted much lately as I have been battling a strained neck for the last couple of weeks. Now I am fighting a head cold..yuk. To top it all off, today I burned my arm ...now I am sporting a Toonie sized blister. All this 4 days before vacation. Hope I get better quick!

Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Expresso

STAMPING ON CANDLES

This is my first attempt at this technique..I must say I just love it! I wanted to make some more 3-D items to show how versatile Stampin Up products are...not just for cards. I am also wanting to book some workshops for small gift giving ideas.

The first trio of candles I purchased, I used Early Expresso Ink and the flourish from the Friends 24-7 stamp set. I made a belly band around the bottom of the candle and used the Scalloped Border punch and Victorian Crocheted Trim. To finish off the candle I added a Vintage Brad.

After I had success with my first trio of candles...I went around my house and gathered all my candles and started stampin away. The candles below are a shorter pillar candle...so I only used the Flourish stamp and a Vintage Brad to embellish it. I used Black ink this time to match the candle holders.

Here is a close up.....

And another close up....

This last candle (which has seen better days)....I used the Simple Friendship Stamp set. I stamped my images in Cajun Craze and Old Olive. I just added some Old Olive Satin Ribbon to finish it off.

Supplies:

Stamps: SU Friends 24-7, Simple Friendship
Ink: Early Expresso, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Basic Black
Paper: Early Expresso, Tissue Paper
Accessories: Heat Gun, SU Scalloped Border Punch, SU Victorian Crocheted Trim, SU Vintage Brads, Pillar Candles, Old Olive Satin Ribbon, Wax Paper

MULITI CHALLENGE CARD FOR KATIE

I made this card using today's SKETCH CHALLENGE, yesterdays COLOR CHALLENGE & TEAPOT CHALLENGE.

This card is for my dear friend Katie Renz, who is the DT Leader at Clear Dollar Stamps. She was recently diagonsed with Stage 4 Stomach Cancer and is undergoing Chemotherapy.

I have been missing in action lately as I pulled a muscle in my neck quite severely. Today is the first day since Sunday that I can actually move around a little bit without my neck going into spasms....what total agony. I could not miss the opportunity to honor my dear friend Katie though...so I slowly (very slowly) was able to make a card for the challenge.
